Revolving loan fund service Rock County. Loans made to both start-up and existing businesses; loans available for fixed assets and working capital. Maximum loan amount: $100,000. Minimum $2,000. Provides information on statistics related to business development in the state, development policy background and other development-related data. The Center for Rural Research and Development (CRRD) creates, facilitates, and partners with other organizations to offer multiple networking and mentoring events year-round so Nebraska Entrepreneurs can share ideas, contacts, and resources. The CRRD supports entrepreneurs through the following three focus areas: education, mentoring, networking and market research. We are a private, non-profit agency based in Kearney, Nebraska. It is the mission of Community Development Resources to create economic opportunity and strong communities by providing capital and technical assistance to: develop and fortify small businesses; increase the supply of affordable housing; and promote community development. Funded through DED, delivers pre-employment and start-up training through community colleges and other vendors. A nonprofit volunteer organization with statewide membership that works with DED and other development organizations to promote economic development in the state. Provides recognition for communities demonstrating documented economic development readiness as specified by program criteria. Awards program to recognize quality among the state's manufacturing and service industries. The Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council is a collaborative public-private partnership formed to promote new economic development opportunities and to support existing small businesses in the Madison, Pierce and Stanton three-county region. Our three-county area is interdependent economically and is the nucleus of a regional micro-economy. Each of the member counties and communities has recognized that a continuous economic development effort is an important and integral part of our region’s ability to grow and prosper. GROW Nebraska is an Entrepreneurial Service Organization, which is membership based and driven. GROW provides entrepreneurial coaching and market access opportunities to its members. GROW Nebraska's goal is to connect entrepreneurs and small businesses to the world marketplace. The Heritage Nebraska Main Street program provides technical assistance, training and organizational support to communities working to revitalize their traditional downtown commercial business districts through economic development and historic preservation. To raise the socio-economic and educational levels for Native American communities and the people of Thurston County in Nebraska. Works with Nebraska businesses to expand international marketing; foster international manufacturing investments in the state; and arrange foreign trade and investment missions in cooperation with the Governor's Office and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. Metropolitan Community College (MCC) is a comprehensive, public community college that offers affordable and quality education. MCC launched its Entrepreneurship program in 2006 and is one of the fastest growing programs on campus and is taught in a real mode - no tests. Work done in any of 6 regularly offered courses that run both on campus and online are specifically designed to mirror real tasks that real entrepreneurs either need to do or know about. Courses attract those interested in new startup planning and those already actively engaged in business. MCC is one of the largest entrepreneurship education providers in the State and was recently named as one of the best models for entrepreneur education and training by The American Association of Community Colleges in the nation. Offering assistance with information technology, market research, business planning and marketing. Developing general and customized training and education programs for employees, managers and owners. The Nebraska Department of Education provides curriculum support and professional development opportunities for entrepreneurship educators at all levels, K-16 and adult. Entrepreneurship education is part of the Nebraska Career Education-Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation Team. A Nebraska Entrepreneurship Education website, bi-monthly newsletter, Nebraska Entrepreneurship News, Targeted Teaching Topics, and a listserv for information exchange are provided as services to the educational and economic development communities. The Nebraska Department of Education-Entrepreneurship Education section is an active partner in the Nebraska Entrepreneurship Task Force and a corporate level member of the National Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. It is the mission of Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) to make sure that Nebraska micro and small businesses have access to capital, training, and technical assistance. Advocates and recommends programs that encourage regional cooperation and foster community sustainability and economic development initiatives for the area adjacent to the Interstate 80 corridor, running through the entire length of Nebraska. Maintains field offices statewide to help manufacturers with business and technical challenges. Helps micro businesses realize the potential to create jobs, enhance entrepreneurial skills and increase low-income households' capacity to become self-sufficient. The program also facilitates development of a permanent, statewide infrastructure of microlending. Protects and oversees state-owned patents and technology. NENEDD's Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) was created to fund economic development projects in northeast and north central Nebraska. These RLF loans provide for subordinate or gap financing for businesses, in conjunction with local financial institutions; allowing the business owner the ability to start a business, expand a current business, transfer of ownership or purchase an existing business. These loans are perfect for financing fixed assets such as land, building, equipment and working capital. Loans typically range from $5,000 to a $100,000 maximum. At least one (1) job must be created or retained for each $20,000 in loan dollars. Loan dollars may not represent more than 40% of the total financing needs. 10% - 20% equity is generally required. Assisting start up and existing small businesses with training, business counseling, micro loans, and networking opportunities. NCDC rekindles pride in neighborhoods and ignites investments in the community. The North Central Development Center (NCDC) is a non-profit organization serving, Keya Paha, Brown and Rock Counties in Nebraska. The organization is dedicated to "stabilizing and encouraging population growth by the promotion and coordination of economic development, education, and quality-of-life through strengthened communication in North Central Nebraska." The NCDC provides one-on-one technical assistance to start-up and existing businesses, as well as educational opportunities for youth entrepreneurs. The NCDC administers two revolving loan funds available for new and existing businesses. Funds can be used for working capital, machinery and equipment, and land and buildings. A nonprofit organization and certified Community Development Financial Institution. NED, Inc.'s mission is to assist in the community and economic stability of northeast Nebraska thus enhancing employment and housing opportunities and public works of the region.
